Miglio has been involved in charity work with The Homestead for many years. The Homestead (Projects for Street Children) is a registered Non-Profit Organisation established in South Africa in 1982 – Their mission – "to help Street Children reconstruct their shattered lives."

The programme is based on developmental principles. Because there is no single solution it offers a continuum of projects, both on and off the streets, which address the needs of street children and their families and through which the children can grow towards competence and self-confidence in their lives. We have undertaken to sell bracelets for them this year which will become part of their job creation project. 

Adult family members of street children will be making them in an effort to get income back into their homes and their children off the streets and rebuilding their futures. Each bracelet is uniquely different as it is strung by unskilled hands. By helping these people you are helping their children.
